The juxtaposition between solid prints and stripes interests me.  I was very aware of the necessary symmetry around the central line, thus the name.

I traded printed papers with two of my artist friends which opened up a whole new world. Aligning it on an angle created dynamic tension. Email me to see one more in this series.

The push and pull of these shapes and colors really drew me in. The papers printed with the Gelli plate were so rich and textured, and they called for a constrast with a simple geometric composition.

The white swirls were made by dragging a comb across a black plate. I balanced the strong black and white with softer, yet bold colors. This whole piece is a study in contrast.
